The People Behind the Screen

The staff at Nordic Adventure have substantial experience from the business community, interest groups, the travel industry and, not least, a special fondness and knowledge of Greenland, Iceland and The Faroe Islands.

At the agency you will meet Steen Broen Jensen, Frida Waaben, Bitten Lund Henriksen and Lene Mortensen.

Consulent Steen Broen Jensen is a former member of the Sirius Patrol and was one of the participants of the Sirius Expedition 2000, who along with His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik set off on expedition in Northern Greenland on dog sledge. In addition Steen has in the most recent years worked with team building, personal growth and training courses in his own setting; Sirius Unity, and has thereby had good contact with business and industry. Steen has special expertise and experience when it comes to the logistics of the expedition, and in making senior management courses and experience- and team-building arrangements of the more demanding kind, both in the Thule area and in Eastern Greenland.

Travel consultant Frida Waaben is trained in the travel industry and has been employed in both “Grønlands rejsebureau” and “Team Arctic”, where she was responsible for customer contact and booking. Frida was born in Maniitsoq and grew up in Aasiaat and has, partly due to her personal background and partly as an employee in the travel industry, a very good knowledge of our destinations and, of course, in particular Greenland.

Sales coordinator Bitten Lund Henriksen is the expert at back office functions at the agency. Bitten is in charge of economy, edits and maintains the website and gathers and structures information for new events, activities, prices etc. from the different accommodation and lodgings, incomming bureaus and outfitters from Greenland, Iceland and The Faroe Islands. Bitten also takes care of news communication, datebase, etc.

Manager Lene Mortensen has a wide, commercial background from both the public sector and the business community. The 3 recent years, she has been head of marketing in “Grønlands Rejsebureau”. In Nordic Adventure, Lene especially draws on her experience at arranging courses, conferences, events and shows. Lene has for a period of years worked in this field as a project leader in Danish Marketing Forum and is now combining her knowledge of both worlds in her work.

he agency is also represented in Greenland by Otto S. Nielsen, who has been living and working in Nuuk for the past 15 years. Otto S. Nielsen has, among other things, been managing director for Securitas in Nuuk for ten years. This has given him a good contact area and knowledge of possibilities for things to do and experience in many parts of the Greenlandic local community. Otto doesn’t participate in the agency’s everyday activities, but he contributes with his knowledge, and he is ready to receive guests and make sure that the local relations are in full function.
